Design decisions such as dimensions, weight, number of components or packaging can have a huge impact on resource consumption. We are constantly looking for solutions to engineer products with improved eco-efficient design specifications that increase product life-time or recyclability.

Process improvement

We adopt 5S practices to improves the efficiency and safety of the manufacturing process, reduces waste, prevents errors and defects, and keeps the workplace safe and pleasant to work in. This includes the following:

  • Minimization of tool wear by improving geometry or materials used
  • Reducing rejects and cutting waste with process optimization
  • Reusing waste or by products

Sustainable procurement

We continuously strengthen our cooperation with suppliers who adhere to social and environmental standards. We strive to have all of our wood come from more sustainable sources, including FSC certified. Furthermore, we are always exploring for renewable or recycled materials to replace non-recyclable materials.
